| Roanoke Island Festival Park is an interactive family attraction that celebrates the first English settlement in America. The centerpiece of the 25-acre island park adjacent to Manteo, North Carolina, is Elizabeth II, a representation of one of the seven English ships from the Roanoke Voyage of 1585. Costumed Elizabethan sailors greet visitors and help them experience sixteenth century seafaring life. Also visit the Settlement site, Roanoke Adventure Museum and see the Legend of Two-Path film. Events are scheduled throughout the year in our indoor Film Theatre and our Outdoor Pavilion. Admission is charged. The on-site Art Gallery, fossil pit, Museum Store, Outer Banks History Center and marsh-side boardwalks are free and open to all. Hours vary seasonally. | For out-of-the-ordinary entertainment, try to catch one of these amazing magic and comedy shows staged by world-renowned magicians Clive Allen & Tracy. OBXtreme Magic is the family-friendly version of the show, and you can catch it most Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk, with special shows at the Outer Banks Music Showcase in Kitty Hawk and Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo. The magicians also hold children’s magic camps at The Whalehead Club in Corolla on Tuesdays throughout the summer. The show goes to a new level after dark, when the Mad Jack Comedy show features R-rated comedy, magic and bizarre side-show stunts, and they caution that this show is not for the easily offended. Mad Jack Comedy shows are held at Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head on Tuesdays and at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk on Wednesdays. | |

| Morning Exercises on the Duck Town Green | |

| A Basic Yoga/Deep Stretch class will be held on the Duck Town Green on Mondays at 7:30 a.m. from May 3 through September 27. This class will be led by an instructor from Outer Banks Yoga and Pilates. The class is geared to all fitness levels. Participants should bring a yoga/Pilates mat or towel and water.
Tai Chi will be held on the Duck Town Green on Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. from May 4 through September 28. Tai Chi is a gentle art of health and well-being for people of all ages and health conditions and incorporates slow, graceful movements to increase strength and flexibility, and improves balance and circulation. Julia Daniel from Outer Banks Yoga and Pilates is the instructor. Participants should bring water. Thursdays – “Fit and Flexible,” a beginning Pilates class, will be held from April 2 through October 15 and will be taught by Patti Waller of Turning Point Fitness. Fit and Flexible” a beginning Pilates class will be held on the Duck Town Green on Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. from May 6 through September 30. The class is geared to all fitness levels. | The Summer Children’s Performance Series features world-class entertainment for all ages, but it’s especially geared to children. The performers delight and excite young audiences, and the series is very popular so arrive early to ensure a seat. The series is held in the Film Theatre at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday from June 24 through July 31. Admission is included in the Park’s general admission ticket price and is free for Friends of the Elizabeth II.
