August 25th // OBX Wedding Fest

10:00 AM to 4:00 PM | Nags Head + Kitty Hawk


Calling all OBX brides to be! The OBX Wedding Fest is kicking off. This casual summer wedding planning event gives couples the opportunity to meet local vendors and figure out who will suit their nuptial needs. From photographers to bakers, you’ll have the opportunity to meet local makers and sample dishes at both Jennette’s Pier and Kitty Hawk Pier/Hilton Ballroom. The Corolla Trolley will be transporting attendees to and from Jennette’s Pier and Kitty Hawk Pier. Tickets are $15 and grant you access to both Jennette’s Pier and Kitty Hawk Pier. September 7th + 8th // OBX Fall Kite Festival

Two days full of kite flying fun at Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head! This family friendly event will feature massive kites flying high in the sky (including an awesome 100 foot octopus!) This free event also features a free stunt and power kite flying lesson!

September 14th – 20th // Cape Hatteras Wave Classic

Kitesurfing in Cape Hatteras, there’s nothing like it! The Cape Hatteras Wave Classic is an open event. Anyone is allowed to register and compete in either the men’s or women’s division. Registration is $100 and includes contest entry, t-shirt, welcome dinner and opening party, awards dinner ceremony, and cash purse for men’s and women’s winners. Registration in person is on September 14th from 4 PM to 6 PM. Spectators are free to enjoy this event.

September 27th – 29th // Outer Banks Jeep Jam

Calling all Jeep lovers! The OBX Jeep Jam is the biggest Jeep get together on the Outer Banks! In 2018, over 100 Jeeps were on display for the public to see. This family friendly event features a kids obstacle course, climbing tower, 50/50 cash raffle, and more! All proceeds go towards GOFAR, a local non-profit educating children on healthy lifestyles. October 12th // Oink N’ Oyster Roast

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM @ Longboards Restaurant | Kitty Hawk


The 18th Annual Oink N’ Oyster Roast benefits the First Flight Rotary Club. Enjoy homemade barbecue, crabs, and oysters. There will be door prizes and music from the First Flight High School band! The Town of Duck along with Duck Town Park brings you the annual Duck Jazz Festival! This event is free to the public! Food and drink are available for purchase but attendees may bring food, coolers, chairs, blankets, and pups! This event is rain or shine.

October 19th // Outer Banks Seafood Festival

10:30 AM – 6:00 PM @ The Soundside Event Site | Nags Head


An Outer Banks staple, the Outer Banks Seafood Festival! This family friendly event is the perfect time to learn all about the important fishing community on the Outer Banks, the area’s seafood heritage, and the Outer Banks community. Meet local watermen and eat fresh, local seafood from local vendors. Tickets for admission are $5 and SeaBucks must be purchased for food. October 26th // OBX Brewtag

12:00 PM to 6:00 PM @ The Soundside Event Site | Nags Head


Celebrate flight and beer at the OBX Brewtag! At the Brewtag, you’ll get to see who can launch and fly an empty 1/6 keg barrel the farthest. This event will feature a Beer Garden with a wide array of local and regional craft beer along with food to purchase for the day. This event is also family friendly with a play area specifically for the kids! All proceeds from the Brewtag will benefit the Rogallo Foundation. For more information visit the Brewtag website.

October 27th // Outer Banks Halloween Parade

2:00 PM @ Aviation Park | Kill Devil Hills


Presented by OBX Entertainment is the 6th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade! Filled with the most fun and spooky Halloween costumes, this family friendly event is for everyone!
