wright bros free

August 25th through the 28th is the National Park Service birthday celebration! 2016 marks 100 years for the NPS, and they are celebrating by waiving entrance fees at parks this week, including the Wright Brothers National Memorial!
This is a great chance to visit this park if you haven’t checked it out yet, or a chance to stop by again for free!  During your free visit to the Wright Brothers National Memorial, you can take a walk to the top of the hill and view the land where the Wright brothers took off and landed here on the Outer Banks. After admiring the giant engraved stones that mark their flights, visit the huge memorial itself which is donned with inspiring quotes and statues of the infamous brothers.  After adventuring around outside, head inside to view the history of aviation as the volunteers tell the tales of first flight.

Don’t miss this chance to tour the Wright Brothers Memorial for free this week, Aug 25-28!  Happy Birthday to the National Park Service!
