Spring Restaurant Week: April 15 – 23, 2016

Sample 3 course lunch and dinner menus at participating restaurants for a fixed price of either $20 or $35. This year, several restaurants will be offering $10 Tapas plates and tapa crawls so you can try sample a variety of smaller tasty options. This is an affordable way to sample some of the best food on the beach.

Duck & Wine Festival: April 30, 2016

Outer Banks Duathlon Run, Bike, Run Event: April 30, 2016

Run and bike through some of the most beautiful landscapes from South Nags Head to the Pea Island Refuge during the Outer Banks 3rd Duathlon. This event is open to all ages and skill levels with a catered post-race party and award ceremony afterwards for all participants.

Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with a run through the scenic Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve.

TRI Outer Banks Sports Spring Spin: May 21, 2016

Take a spin on the Metric ride (62 miles) or Quarter Century ride (25 miles) at the Tri OBX Sports Spring Spin. Compete for a good cause, with a portion of the proceeds going to purchase bikes for kids at Christmas time. Breakfast biscuit and lunch are provided to participants.

44 th Annual Hang Gliding Spectacular and Air Show: May 13 – 16, 2016

The longest running hang gliding competition in the world will take place on Jockey’s Ridge this May, with professional hang gliders competing. Across the highway, Kitty Hawk Kites will be hosting family friendly activities throughout the day.
