Wright Brothers National Memorial

Visit the site of the first powered airplane flight on December 17, 1903. Full-scale reproductions of the 1902 glider and the 1903 flying machine are on display. Additional exhibits, movies and educational programs are available in the Centennial Pavilion. Climb Kill Devil Hill for a breathtaking view of the area from sound to sea. Stand on the same spot where Wilbur and Orville made their first flights. Open year round.
