This small town spans just a little over 4 miles and is perfect for those who truly want to get away from it all. This Hatteras Island town is rich in history with small, local restaurants that have been around for decades and deep Native American roots.
The Frisco Native American Museum is open year round and features many artifacts giving you a true sense on how deep the history of this town goes. Each April, the museum hosts the Hatteras Powwow with creators, dancers, and speakers from Native American tribes across the United States.
Frisco, NC is also home to kiteboarding, windsurfing, and other water sports like jet skiing and stand up paddle boarding. Wind Fest is held annually for water sports enthusiast to come and enjoy a long weekend of riding waves in the waters of the Pamlico Sound.
While this Hatteras Island town is small, there’s plenty to do. Take the family out to mini golf and go-karting at Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is also just a 10 minute drive away from Frisco as well.
