With November just around the corner, it’s time for the November 2018 events on the Outer Banks! It’s getting close to the holidays and there are so many events to attend and things to see. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, see what’s going on around the OBX this November!

OCTOBER 4 – NOVEMBER 11 // THE INDEPENDENT WATERMAN EXHIBIT

Recurring Daily @ Roanoke Island Festival Park | Manteo

Local photographer, Daniel Pullen has captured the lifestyle, heritage, and pride of local fisherman on the Outer Banks. The photo documentary is displayed in Roanoke Island Festival Park’s exhibit. The exhibit can be viewed Monday – Saturday from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. and Sunday’s from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M.

NOVEMBER 1 – 11 // OBX VETERAN’S WEEK

NOVEMBER 10 – 11 // TOWNEBANK OUTER BANKS MARATHON + HALF MARATHON

Recurring Daily From Kitty Hawk To Manteo

Join in on an Outer Banks tradition! Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the OBX while running in over 6 different events. There is something for everyone during this running weekend! Sponsored by TowneBank, you can choose to run a full marathon, half marathon, Southern 6, Take The Challenge, or 8K and 5K family fun run! Check in begins at 9:00 AM, Friday, November 9th. NOVEMBER 21 // TIPSY TURKEY BEER MILE

The Outer Banks Brewing Station | Kill Devil Hills

Join the Brewing Station for a Thanksgiving themed beer mile. This 21 and over social run beings at 11 AM. Wearing your Thanksgiving finest is encouraged for the most creative costume contest participation. Prizes will be given to costume contest winner and to the fastest male and female of the day! NOVEMBER 23 – 24 // HANGIN’ WITH SANTA

Kitty Hawk Kites | Nags Head

Santa Claus is coming to town! Spread holiday cheer at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing. This event is free to all and includes pictures with Santa, cocoa, and cookies! A kite light show will be on display on Jockey’s Ridge as well. For more information, visit the Kitty Hawk Kites website.

A month full of sights and lights, come out to the opening night of Grand Illuminations of Winter Lights starting November 24th!
