AUGUST 29 – SEPTEMBER 3 // WRV OUTER BANKS PRO

SEPTEMBER 5 – SEPTEMBER 6 // OBX ARTS + CRAFT FESTIVAL
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM @ The Hilton Garden Inn | Kitty Hawk
Come out to the annual show featuring art from 25 Outer Banks artists! From painting to pottery, jewelry and glass work, this show has it all. Admission to the show is free and parking is free as well! A portion of artists’ entrance fees are donated to local charities N.E.S.T. and Friends Of Youth.
SEPTEMBER 8 – SEPTEMBER 9 // OBX STUNT KITE COMPETITION
10:00 AM @ Kitty Hawk Kites | Nags Head
This annual regional event showcases world-class stunt kites and skills! With multiple competition categories, show kite features, and stunt kite flying lessons, the fun and FREE family event is sure to please!
SEPTEMBER 9 // OUTER BANKS FOOD TRUCK SHOWDOWN
11:00 AM – 5:00 PM @ The Soundside Event Site | Nags Head
Great local and regional food, breweries, and local music is the recipe for the Outer Banks Food Truck Showdown! Admission to this event is free as well as on-site and off site parking! This family friendly event is going to be a fun one!
SEPTEMBER 14 – SEPTEMBER 15 // DAY AT THE DOCKS
10:00 AM in Hatteras Village | Hatteras
Enjoy shrimp and grits at this celebration of Hatteras Island watermen! Day At The Docks is held each fall as a way to experience the lives of local, commercial fishermen and their families. This 2 day event is free for all.
SEPTEMBER 15 // KITTY HAWK SURF CO. KAYAK FISHING TOURNAMENT
Kitty Hawk Surf Co. | Nags Head
Enjoy some of the best kayak fishing the Outer Banks has to offer in this dark-to-dusk catch and release tournament. SEPTEMBER 20 – SEPTEMBER 22 // SURFALORUS FILM FESTIVAL
Watch some of the coolest international, regional, and local surf films at Surfalorus! Screenings will be held at Jennette’s Pier, the Dare County Arts Council, and the Outer Banks Brewing Station! For more information, visit the Dare County Arts Council website. This event is free to all!
