Colington Cafe

At Colington Cafe, their focus is to serve local food with a gourmet touch at an affordable price. Nestled in a miniature maritime forest one mile down Colington road in Kill Devil Hills, The Colington Café is tucked away in a Victorian house surrounded by giant live oak trees, beautiful gardens and Southern ferns. You will be greeted either by one of the two owners, or by their friendly staff, many of whom have worked there for more than two decades. Their chefs are some of the most renowned of any Outer Banks restaurant, with over 20 years of combined culinary experience. Each day, Executive Chef Jeff Lane calls to inventory the freshest products available from local purveyors, ranging from the morning’s freshest fish catch, plump scallops right from the Wanchese fishing boats, Roanoke Sound white shrimp, sweet crabmeat from Lake Matamaskeet and local produce from the farms of Currituck. Their menu is one of the most extensive of any Outer Banks restaurant ranging from seafood, pastas and beef to chicken and pork dishes. For the more traditional palate, The Colington Café was voted as having the best crab cakes and she crab soup out of all Outer Banks restaurants. Their on-site dessert chef creates each selection from scratch for a perfect ending to your meal. Make sure to make reservations. Open for dinner daily.
