May 25// OBX Paddle Palooza
8 AM – 4 PM | Avon
Have you ever tried Paddle Boarding? OBX Paddle Palooza is an event in Avon, where they have Paddle Boarding Races throughout the day. Plus, all the proceeds raised by this event will benefit the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that helps Hatteras Island residents in their fight against cancer.
May 25// Band in the Sand 5k
5:30 PM @ Jennette’s Pier | Nags Head
Challenge yourself this Memorial Day Weekend for a 5k at Jennette’s Pier! Cross the finish line to Johnny Waters Band, cold beer and sparkling soda and BBQ sandwiches!
May 26 // Memorial Day Beach Blast
12 PM – 5 PM @ Whalehead Club | Corolla
Come celebrate Memorial Day at the iconic Whalehead Club! Live music will be played throughout the event from Soul Intent, R&B, and Motown. Admission is free, and visitors are welcome to bring chairs and towels to sit back and enjoy the event.
May 27 // 8th Annual Shore Break 5k + Tide Pool Fun Run
8:00 AM | Avon
Interested in running, walking or jogging on Memorial Day on the gorgeous Cape Hatteras? The race path will keep you easily entertained as you run thru Kinnakeet Shores, wooden bridges, boardwalks, beach walkways and over the dunes. Also, the post-race party will make it worth it, offering a pancake breakfast and Carolina Brewery. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Hatteras Island Youth Education Fund. May 27 // Summer Kick-Off Memorial Day Concert
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM @ Town Of Duck Green | Duck
The town of Duck is having a featured ensemble group play their familiar marches, traditional classics, patriotic favorites and other popular music. This concert is free and open to the public and will happen at Duck Town Green.
