Guys Getaway Journey

DAY 1 – CHARTER FISHING

Spend a guy’s day on the water by charter fishing. Outer Banks charter companies like Skirt Chaser Sport Fishing ensure that you and your crew will have a day full of reeling in big ones and will supply everything you need. A fishing license isn’t needed and all you’ll need to bring is food, drink, and sunscreen. With Skirt Chaser Charters you’ll be catching fish like blue marlin, albacore tuna, wahoo and more!

DAY 2 – 4×4 RENTAL AND OFF-ROADING

Enjoy the northern beaches in Corolla and the southern beaches in Hatteras by 4-wheel drive! Let the good folks at Outer Banks Jeep Rentals get you rigged up in an awesome Jeep and take it for a spin on our beautiful beaches. Check out the beach driving rules, regulations and specified areas and get ready for an awesome day with the top down and the radio up!

DAY 3 – FISH HEADS BAR AND GRILL

Blow off some steam at Fish Heads Bar and Grill. This amazing outdoor bar and grill offers the freshest seafood bites to eat and some of the best beer you’ve ever had (they have over 20 on draft alone!) Fish Heads is located right on top of the Outer Banks Pier, if you were any closer to the ocean, you’d be in it! During the summer there is live entertainment every night featuring karaoke on Monday’s and Thursdays. Fish Heads is the perfect spot to hang out and spend some quality time with the guys.

DAY 4 – GOLFING

Take some time out and get out on the putting green! The Outer Banks is home to some of the best golf courses like Kilmarlic and Nags Head Golf Links. The Outer Banks is also home to The Currituck Club that features an 18 hole golf course designed by Rees Jones, a renowned golf course architect. Whichever course you choose, you can’t go wrong!

DAY 5 – DISTILLERY TOUR

Did you know the Outer Banks has its own distillery? Ran and founded by 4 local Outer Banks residents, Kill Devil Rum in Manteo is the Outer Banks’ first legal distillery. The distillery offers Kill Devil Rum tasting and tours so you can try and even buy this locally made rum. Private tours are available for groups that have more than 10 people and all tours require everyone to be 21 and up.

DAY 6 – SURF LESSONS

Hang 10 and spend a day in the surf with your friends. Surf lessons like those offered at Farmdog Surf School will teach you everything you need to know to start shredding. From learning basic water safety to how to read and judge waves, you’ll be catching waves in no time. Group lessons are at least an hour and a half and Farmdog will provide you with everything you need.

DAY 7 – HANG GLIDING

Take a trip over to Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head and get up in the air with hang gliding lessons! With beginner, intermediate, and advanced instruction, there is something for everyone. You and your boys can either hang glide off the dunes at Jockey’s Ridge or do a tandem with an instructor 5,280 feet in the air if your group is a little more adventurous! However you and your guys do it, it’s definitely going to be an experience you’ll never forget.
