Fishing from one of our three fishing piers is a great way for novices and experts alike to experience the thrill of saltwater fishing. Most piers offer tackle rentals and you can purchase bait, ice and all the necessities right on site. Or, stroll the pier and take in the scenery for a nominal fee. Piers offer daily, 3-day and weekly passes.
Jennette’s Pier
A stroll down the 1,000-foot pier invites reading the hundreds of plank inscriptions of past, present and future anecdotes about Jennette’s Pier experiences of others from across the country. In addition to ample bench seating, several welcoming and shaded exhibit areas break the 1,000-foot journey into enjoyable segments with topical exhibits for young and old alike. Besides family fun and fishing, classes will also feature solid conservation-minded educational programming in a perfect outdoor setting — on the beach and over the waves on the pier.

Oregon Inlet Fishing Center
Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and full-service marina is the home of the largest and most modern fishing fleet on the eastern seaboard.
Located just 8 miles south of Whalebone Junction on NC 12 at the north end of the Oregon Inlet Bridge, Oregon Inlet offers a comprehensive fishing experience for the “old salt” or the vacationing fisherman. Allow their seasoned guides to treat you to some of most spectacular saltwater fishing on the East Coast.
Oregon Inlet Fishing Center offers both inshore trips and offshore fishing in the gulf stream. Make-up charters are available for smaller groups. Headboat fishing is an inexpensive way to get out on the water. Usually all tackle, bait and ice is provided. Please remember to bring your own lunch, beverages, sunscreen and a cooler for your catch.
Not fishing…but still want to see some fish? Head on down to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center around 4pm to watch the charter boats arrive and unload their catch on the dock. It’s a classic OBX experience that you’ll never forget.

Pirate’s Cove Marina
Pirate’s Cove Marina is one of the largest world class marinas on the east coast — with a high level of experienced charter sportfishing captains and crew.
Located approximately eight miles inside and north of Oregon Inlet via a deepwater, well marked channel, Pirates Cove is a protected, deep water, full service marina with 195 slips and a charter fleet of 21 sport fish boats for offshore, nearshore, and inlet fishing.

We offer inshore, nearshore and offshore charters, along with shrimping/crabbing and dive charters. Our diverse fleet allows us the opportunity to find you and your family the perfect Outer Banks adventure. All licenses, bait and tackle are included with your charter. We can also arrange all-inclusive packages for your group. After your adventure, bring your cleaned catch to our Landing Grill and let us cook it for you – a wonderful way to end your day.
