Wanchese Wood Haunted Trail (Friday & Saturday Nights in October)

For those who love a good scare, the Wanchese Wood Haunted Trail is sure to get your heart racing with scares around every corner. Follow the trail for a frighteningly good time. Tickets are $15 for adults. For the younger crowd, stop by Boo Acres for just $5. The Haunted Trail is open every Friday and Saturday in October from sundown – 11 pm.

The Lost Colony Presents – Psycho Path: The Terror Within (Friday & Saturday Nights in October)

The Lost Colony Theater brings drama and creativity to this haunted attraction. Like any Lost Colony production, you can expect extravagant costumes, talented actors and visually appealing sets. This haunted tour is one of the best on the Outer Banks. Psycho Path runs every Friday and Saturday night in October. Scares and screams are guaranteed.

Island Farm Pumpkin Patch (Every Saturday Afternoon in October)

Each Saturday in October, the Island Farm in Manteo hosts a harvest event with ox-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin picking and crafts for the kids from 10:00 am – 3:30 pm. Admission is $8 and kids 5 and under are free. Pick your perfect pumpkin for an additional $5. Bring the family out to the farm for this fun-filled harvest event.

The Elizabethan Gardens Harvest HayDay (October 24th)

Hayrides, a hay bale maze, crafts, face painting and loads of family friendly activities are in the works at the Elizabethan Gardens. This event takes place on Saturday, October 24th from 10 am to 1 pm. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and fall themed activities.

Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes (October 25th)

Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern is hosting its 2nd annual Parade of Costumes on Sunday, October 25th. The best dressed will be entered to win over $2,500 in prizes and show off their costumes in the parade starting at 3 pm. The pre-party and registration begins at 2 pm and includes live entertainment, surprise guests, photo ops and trick-or-treating. All ages are welcomed to participate in this spirted event.

Koru Village Trunk or Treat (October 31st)

Hatteras Island guests can bring their families out to the Beach Klub parking lot for the annual Trunk or Treat. Decorated cars will fill the parking lot and provide a safe and fun place for trick-or-treaters.

Pangea Tavern’s Midnight Monster Mash & Haunted Tavern Party (October 31st)

Pangea Tavern located in Koru Village, Avon is an enjoyable place for adults to celebrate with a costume contest and Halloween bash starting at 8pm.

First Flight Village Trick-or-Treat (October 31st)

First Flight Village in Kill Devil Hills is the ultimate treat-or-treat stop on the Outer Banks. This neighborhood’s large population of year-round residents host a fun and safe environment for trick-or-treaters.
