The cold month of February is quickly making it way out, and we’re so excited for all that March has in store! Whether you’re a visitor or a local, you should definitely check out these events happening on the Outer Banks.

March 2 // M5 Mexican Brass Band

Come out to First Flight High School’s Auditorium and experience Latin America’s most successful Brass Quintet. Tickets are $28/adults and $15/students. Tickets can be found here or at the door.

March 2 // A Night at the Speakeasy

Come out to Paparazzi OBX for a good time to support a good cause! Tickets are $75/individual and $600/table of 6. The event is March 2 from 4pm-9pm and proceeds benefit Mustang Music and The Elizabethan Gardens.

March 8- March 22// Outer Banks Community Quilt Show

The Outer Banks Community Quilt Show returns to Roanoke Island Festival Park. The show is March 8-22, Monday through Friday 9am-4pm and Saturdays 10 am – 4 pm. Vintage and antique quilts of all sizes will be on display for the public.

March 16th// Outer Banks Beer Mile

Drink, Run. Drink, Run. Drink, Run. Join the Outer Banks Brewing Station crew for a Leprechaun themed (yes, wear a costume!) beer mile run! The price is $33, and includes a party, chip timing and a T-shirt. Be sure to register quickly, as it is limited to 100 participants!

March 16th // Running of The Leprechauns!

Join Outer Banks Sporting Events for this 10k or 8k race! After you run, enjoy an Irish-themed after party and a costume contest! Each finisher receives a Medal and an Event T-shirt.

March 17th // St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a hometown parade! The parade starts at 1pm at MP 11.5 at the intersection of Bladen Street at Milepost 11.5 and Virginia Dare Trail and continues North on the beach road.

March 28- March 31 // Outer Banks Taste of The Beach

Come out and enjoy the wide range of the delicious food the Outer Banks has to offer. With over 60 events and 30 different venues, there is something for everyone. The Outer Banks Taste Of The Beach features events like wine tasting, cooking classes, special multi-course menu presentations, brewery tours, tapas crawls, cook-offs, and more!

March 29-March 31 // Blackbeard’s Revenge 100

Love running alongside a beautiful view and making friends along the way? Be sure to challenge yourself to the 100 Mile point to point run from Corolla to Hatteras! Whether you want to try the 100 mile or the 100K, this race is for everyone. Not ready for those long hauls yet? Take part in the relay!
